A Two-Century Commitment to Service
The Rowland Company takes great pride in our reputation for personalized service, geared to the
specific needs of our customers. With over 275 years of experience, we are frequently able to
offer innovative solutions to "new" problems, based on the success of work we have
done for others in, as well as outside of, a customer's particular industry. We routinely go beyond the line card to devise unique solutions to problems, as opposed to simply selling parts. By taking a systems approach to our customers' needs and providing ongoing support for the system developed, we are able to help our customers achieve higher levels of performance and, in the end, increased profitability. As a result, we have established many long-term customer relationships that extend well beyond a single troubleshooting event. We strive to be the maintenance engineer's best friend.
Application Engineering The Rowland Company's technical staff includes individuals with many years of experience in the industrial, marine and mobile/off highway markets. We can offer innovative solutions to your power transmission challenges, from locating obsolete and metric parts to machining complex parts to your exact specifications. For application assistance, contact our technical service department.
Machine Shop Our facilities include equipment for re-lining brake bands up to 10' (300cm) in diameter and clutch plates up to 60" (150cm) in diameter. We offer both bonded and riveted linings. Fabrication & Services Additionally, we can fabricate metal components for damaged or obsolete clutches and brakes. Our driveshaft and coupling shop fabricates universal joints and flexible couplings for a variety of industries. We specialize in the design and building of driveshafts for the paper, steel, chemical, wastewater, power generation, metal forming, marine and mining industries. Our equipment can accommodate shafts up to 10' (3 meters) long and couplings with outer diameters to 16" (40cm). Our services include welding, balancing and boring. We also have the ability to apply special protective coatings, as required. Rebuilding & Repair We have the facilities for complete re-building and testing of most any clutch or brake made. Our shop personnel will tear down, clean and inspect the entire unit and provide a detailed quote on the parts and labor necessary to bring the unit back to factory specifications. If the rebuild is in excess of 60% of the price of a new unit, we may recommend that it be replaced with a new unit. All rebuilds include complete inspection, cleaning and testing of air, water and hydraulic systems. We also rebuild most makes of hydraulic and pneumatic caliper disc brakes for the mining industry and off-road trucks and loaders. Component Assembly For customers who don't have the time or adequate on-staff expertise, The Rowland Company provides component assembly services. Our technical staff has the experience to assemble even the most complex powertrain assemblies. Our 56,000 sq. ft. (5,202 sq. meters) facility includes state-of-the-art machining and fabricating capabilities, enabling us to handle the entire project in house. |
